Why the Haqq app collects no data

Your prayer record is between you and Allah. We built the app so that it stays that way.

No account, because there's nothing to hold

The Haqq app has no account and no sign-up. You open it and you start. Your prayers, your Quran bookmarks, your habit calendar, your notes — all of it lives on your phone.

Apple's privacy label for the app reads Data Not Collected.1 That's not a marketing line and it isn't a promise we're asking you to take on trust: there is simply no database of you on our side. Nothing to leak, nothing to sell, nothing to hand over.

What does use the internet — openly

  • Prayer times and Quran text come from free public services. Times are calculated for the city you choose — never your tracked location. The app doesn't follow you around.
  • The optional reading companion sends only your question, so it can send back a gentle reflection. Nothing you ask is stored, and you never have to use it.

That's the complete list. If it isn't on it, it isn't happening.

There is no database of you on our side. Nothing to leak, nothing to sell.

A companion

The reading companion is deliberately humble. It offers a short reflection on a surah, the kind of thing a friend might say to help you sit with an ayah. It does not issue rulings, and it will always point you to scholars for tafsir and fiqh. We'd rather it did one small thing honestly than pretend to an authority it doesn't have.

Why we built it this way

Because the alternative is normal, and the alternative is grim. Most free apps in this space are free because you're the product: your location, your routine, your attention, packaged and sold. For an app that sits beside someone's worship, that felt indefensible.

No ads. No in-app purchases. Nothing sold to you inside it. It exists because a brand built on halal wellbeing should give something back to the community's daily life. That's it. That's the pitch.
